Corey has worked on and off for the family business throughout his younger years including summer internships in between college semesters. He graduated with a BArch and MArch from Andrews University in 2019 and began working for a commercial architecture firm in South Bend, Indiana. He moved back to North Carolina and officially started working for Shaw Design in late 2020.

 

Before graduating, Corey took an interest in getting hands on experience during his college years. He worked for a local contractor for a summer and volunteered to help rebuild homes in New Orleans for 4 weeks. Corey took on woodworking as a hobby and became a woodshop student supervisor for the University for 4 years where he learned to appreciate fine craftsmanship and building at a smaller scale.

 

Outside of the office, Corey enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
